Drug

Jakarta Kominfo-Newsroom - Two Cameroon nationals were caught red-handed in possession of forged US dollars at Hotel Banyuwangi Sintera, Central Jakarta, Monday (30/6) night.
A joint team of officers from the BNP (provincial narcotics agency), BNK (municipal narcotics agency), Jakarta immigration office and the Jakarta Police Narcotics and Dangerous Druges Directorate were earlier warned that the hotel had often been used as a site of drug transactions.

The law enforcers did not find banned drugs but instead found forged foreign currency when they raided one of the hotel rooms.

Occupants are Cameroon nationals Erik and Efate, who checked in on Marh 9, 2008.

Both tried to prevent officers from raiding the palace.

When questioned the two admitted the forged money belonged to them.
Police seized forged US dollars and Euros that were still being polished and materials needed in currency forgery. (T.Ty/toeb/ton)
